Money Saving Tips with Citylink

Everyone loves to save money and at Citylink we want our customers to get the best bang for their buck! So here are a few tips and tricks that can help you keep your pennies in your pocket.

  • Always book online and in advance.

Booking online saves you 10% compared to paying for your ticket on the bus. We also encourage you to book your journey as far in advance as you can, as this helps you save also! It is also helpful for you as our services can be busy, and booking online and in advance means you know for sure you have a seat.

  • Subscribe to our newsletter

Subscribing to our monthly newsletter gives you access to discount codes. These codes are solely exclusive to the newsletter so if you haven’t signed up yet, this should be your encouragement. You can sign up here.

  • Use the ‘Manage My Booking’ feature on our website and app.

The ‘Manage My Booking’ feature allows you to amend your booking up to three times free of charge, meaning if plans change there’s no need to pay for a new ticket, you can just change the time or date. A really helpful way to both save money, but also put your mind at ease when plans change.

  • Use your YAC or FTP card.

Citylink accepts both YAC cards and FTP Cards, which means you can save some big bucks! The Young Adult Leap Card will save you up to 50% when you book online. When booking with a YAC card it must be a valid and your own card because the card will be checked when you are boarding. Free Travel Passes allow for free travel for cardholders. We do encourage FTP holders to book online in order to guarantee themselves a seat. Learn more about FTP tickets here.

There you have it, a few tips and tricks that can help you get more out of your journey with Citylink!
