Free Travel Pass (FTP) holders, great news!

If you're a Free Travel Pass (FTP) holder, you can use your pass to travel on all Citylink services! Whether you're heading to the airport, exploring Ireland, or commuting between cities, booking your seat online is quick and easy.

This guide will walk you through how to reserve your ticket using your Free Travel Pass, explain which routes accept it, outline important policies, and help ensure you’re ready to board stress-free. Let’s get started!

How to Book a Free Travel Pass Ticket Online

Step 1: Do Not Select the Adult Fare
When booking your ticket online, do not select the Adult, Student, or Child fare options.
Instead, go directly to the Free Travel Pass section and select the appropriate number of passengers from the dropdown menu:

Select 1 if one person is travelling.

Select 2 if two people are travelling on the same pass.
If two passengers each have their own pass, separate reservations must be made.

Tip: We strongly recommend reserving your seat in advance—especially when travelling to the airport.

Step 2: Show Your Pass When Boarding
Free Travel Pass holders must carry their pass and present it to the driver when boarding.

If you do not have your pass with you, you will be charged the applicable fare.
