Fógra do Chustaiméirí | Notice for Passengers

Update 16:00 17/04: The protesters are now beginning to disperse with no major incident or delays caused. Passengers are asked to continue giving themselves extra travel time to account for any last minute changes and general heavy Friday evening traffic in and around Dublin.

A planned protest is taking place today, Friday 17 April, at Leinster House from 12:00.
At this stage, there are no planned protests reported elsewhere, but traffic levels in and around Dublin are expected to be busier than usual.

Some delays may be experienced across Dublin City, the M50, and surrounding roads, so we recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey, especially if you’re travelling to Dublin Airport.
Our operations team will keep a close eye on traffic conditions throughout the day and will share updates if anything changes.

Connemarathon (Connemara International Marathon 2026)Updated: 15/04/2026

Fógra do Chustaiméirí | Notice for Passengers

Route 923: Due to the Connemarathon (Connemara International Marathon 2026) taking place on Sunday the 19th of April, while no major disruptions/delays are expected, passengers nevertheless are asked to consider allowing for extra travel time to reach their intended destination, especially for the duration of the event which takes place between approx. 09:00-18:00.

While no stops on Route 923 will be affected and the N59 is set to remain fully open throughout, all adjacent traffic in the Maam Valley area will be re-routed via the N59, causing possible congestion build up. A crowd of spectators will also gather around the finish line in Maam Cross. Passengers along the route can use Track My Bus to check for real-time delay info on the day itself.
