Ticket Amendments?

If you need to change the time or date of a booked ticket just contact us in advance on 091 564164 or email [email protected] and we will make the changes.

Delayed Flights?

If you book a seat for a particular time and your flight is delayed we will honour your ticket and put you on the next available service.

Luggage Allowance

You can bring two medium sized suitcases or rucksacks (no more than 20kg each) and one small piece of carry-on luggage free of charge. Please note carry-on luggage must be capable of being placed in the overhead luggage rack or under the seat in front of you. Additional luggage may be subject to a charge of €5 per item.

Toilet Facilities

All of our luxury coaches feature on-board toilets.

General

Q: Does booking online guarantee my seat on board?
A: Yes, by booking your seat online you are guaranteed a seat on board. We recommend that all passengers book online where possible.
Q: Do you operate wheelchair accessible services?
A: Citylink operate a number of wheelchair accessible coaches on our Galway - Dublin City/Airport route, however not all stops on this route are accessible. In addition, eireagle have a limited number of services from Limerick - Dublin Airport with wheelchair accessibility. Our coaches are interchangeable so if you have gotten a wheelchair accessible service previously, please do not assume it will be the same coach. Please contact us on 091 564164 in advance of your journey and we will assist you further in relation to your query. We are happy to help with any enquiries.
Q: Where is the pick-up point in Dublin City?
A: We depart from the stop right outside our Dublin Office at 4 Crampton Quay, Temple Bar, Dublin, D02 X434 between the O'Connell Bridge and the Ha‘penny Bridge outside the Forbidden Planet comic store and Eden Recruitment.
Q: Can I change the time/date on my booked ticket?
A: Yes. You can amend a ticket up to thirty minutes in advance of the date and time you are booked to travel. Please see the 'Manage my Booking' section at the top right of the Citylink website and enter your seven digit booking reference number. The website allows for three amendments to your reservation. We are happy to change the time/date of your ticket, however, we cannot change the destination. All changes must be made prior to the confirmed departure date and time of your reservation. Please note no changes are permitted to promotional fares purchased online.
Q: Can I split my ticket?
A: No. If you book a ticket for two or more people and one person decides not to travel or to travel on a different service, unfortunately we cannot split your ticket.
Q: Can I carry a bicycle/e-bicycle/e-scooter on board the coach?
A:
We accept carriage of a bicycle on our services subject to space available. If it can be accommodated there is an additional €5.00 charge (including folding bicycles) per bicycle per journey payable to the driver directly. It is not possible to pre-book Bicycles as Luggage will be prioritised. 

As Safety is our number one priority, we do not accept carriage of E-Bicycles, E-Scooters, E-Unicycles, E-Skateboards or Hoverboards on our services due to the potential fire risk that they pose. 
Q: Can I park at Galway Coach Station?
A: Yes, there is a public car park under the Galway Coach Station. Please see: Official - Galway Coach Station
Q: Can I board the Express service to Dublin at the GMIT?
A: No. You can only board the Express service to Dublin outside Galway Coach Station. Please see the 'Pickup Points' section under the 'Departure Points' tab at the top of the website for a map.
Q: How much luggage can I bring on the coach with me?
A: You can bring two medium-sized suitcases or rucksacks (no more than 20 kg each) and one small piece of carry-on luggage free of charge. Please note carry-on luggage must be capable of being placed in the overhead luggage rack or under the seat in front of you. Additional luggage is subject to availability as all passengers are entitled to the same allowance. Any additional luggage (where accommodatedmay be subject to a charge of €5 per item payable to the driver. Please ensure to keep with you on board all items of value i.e. Passport, Money, Medications, Jewellery etc. There is no additional charge for a Golf Bag provided it is included in your Luggage Allowance. We cannot accommodate large sporting items such as Kayaks, Canoes etc., on our services. 
Q: Can I board the coach at Dublin City going to Dublin Airport?
A: No, Dublin City is only a drop-off point going to Dublin Airport.
Q: Can I buy a ticket on a service for e.g. Galway to Cork and get off in Limerick City for a few hours?
A: No, if you disembark the coach your ticket expires. You would need to buy two single tickets.
Q: Does Citylink have a service from Cork City to Dublin City?
A: Yes, since Citylink and Gobus are now under the same ownership you can travel with Gobus from Cork City to Dublin City and Dublin Airport. To book or see more information please click here.
Q: My ticket is booked under the wrong name do I need to change it?
A: No. Once you have a visible ticket for the driver you do not need to change the name on the ticket.
Q: Can I send a package on the coach?
A: No. If you are not travelling on the coach we cannot take a package.
Q: Can I bring my pet on the coach or in the undercarriage?
A: Guide dogs and Assistance dogs are permitted to travel on all Citylink services without restriction. A Guide dog must be clearly identifiable by official coat and harness. An Assistance dog must be clearly identifiable by official coat, medallion and lead to distinguish it as a working dog and not a pet. The handler must have accompanying paperwork confirming dog as an Assistant dog. Only one Guide dog or Assistance dog is permitted per passenger.
Q: What age is a child/teen ticket?
A: All children aged 4 to 18 years inclusive can benefit from our great value child/teen fares. Please note children and infants aged 4-14 must be accompanied on Citylink's Express services by an adult fare paying passenger. Children in school uniforms may travel unaccompanied on our Multi-stop Services provided the journey being taken is less than 25 kilometers. One infant aged 0-3 years inclusive, accompanied by an adult fare-paying passenger, will be carried free of charge. Any additional infants, accompanied by the same adult will be charged at child fares. 
Q: Can I use my Free Travel Pass on your services?
A: Yes. Free Travel Passes MUST be in the possession of their owner to give to driver on boarding the coach. If you do not have your Free Travel Pass with you, you will be charged the applicable fare.We accept Free Travel Passes on all our routes. We advise passengers to reserve their seat using our online booking facility. Please note, a fee of €3 per seat is in place for Free Travel Pass tickets on our Multi-Stop routes and €5 per seat on our Express routes.
Q: I have lost property on the coach, what do I do?
A: If you have lost property on one of our coaches please search our lost property list available under 'Useful Info'. Please note items are only kept for 30 days.
Q: Does Citylink offer refunds?
A: No. Citylink do not offer refunds, please refer to our terms and conditions.

Q: My flight is delayed I have a booked ticket what do I do?
A: Should your flight be early/late, your ticket is valid on the next available service on the same day on the same route at no additional cost to you. Please note: if you book another ticket Citylink/GoBus/eireagle.com to guarantee your seat, the unused ticket is non-refundable. If you book another ticket with another provider, your Citylink/GoBus/eireagle.com ticket is non-refundable.
Q: How can I get a Tax deduction fare?
A: Please contact us with details of where you are travelling to/from and period of time required for your route. e.g. 3 Months / 6 Months / 12 Months. Please see our Taxsaver tab for more information.
Q: Is there a toilet on board the coach?
A: Yes. There are toilet facilities on all our services. If there are any issues, please approach the driver who will stop in the next town for you.
Q: What airports do Citylink service?
A: Citylink services Cork and Dublin airport.
Q: I can’t print my booked ticket. Can I board the coach with just the booking reference?
A: You can also show your ticket on the screen of your smart phone or tablet.
Q: Can I smoke on board the coach?
A: No. Smoking, including the use of substitute materials such as electronic cigarettes on board any Citylink or eireagle vehicle or within any coach or bus station is not permitted.
Q: How do I book a seat for my return journey?
A: If you have purchased an Open Return Ticket from the driver we would highly recommend in order to guarantee your seat that you contact our office to make a reservation for your return journey. If a reservation is not made you may travel standby subject to a seat being available.
Q: How do I reserve a seat using a Travel Voucher?
A: Please contact us with your name, where you are travelling to & from e.g. Galway/Dublin City or Airport, date and time of travel, voucher number and a contact telephone number and we will be happy to reserve a seat for you once available and advise a booking reference number. Kindly note you must be in possession of your Travel Voucher to hand to the driver upon boarding, otherwise you will be charged the applicable fare. If it is a return voucher the driver will take your voucher and issue you with a ticket which you must retain for your return journey.
Q: How do I reserve a seat using a Taxsaver Ticket?
A: Please contact us with your name, where you are travelling to & from e.g. Galway to Dublin City/Airport, date and time of travel and specify that it is a Taxsaver ticket. Kindly note you must be in possession of your Tax Saver ticket to hand to the Driver upon boarding, otherwise you will be charged the applicable fare.
Q: Can a child accompany a Free Travel Pass holder for free?
A: No. A person must be 16 years or older to accompany a Free Travel Pass holder and only if the FTP card allows. Children accompanying a Free Travel Pass holder must make a separate reservation on our website at www.citylink.ie. Children up to 14 years old must purchase a child fare and 14+ must purchase a student or standard as applicable. Tickets may also be purchased from the driver subject to availability.
Q: Can children travel unaccompanied on board?
A: In the interest of safety, unaccompanied children under 14 years of age will not knowingly be carried on any of our Express services in any circumstances.

Children wearing a school uniform may purchase tickets and travel on our Multi-stop services, providing the journey is less than 25 kilometers.
Q: I missed my bus what do I do?
A: If you book a seat for a particular time and miss this service, Citylink will honour your ticket and put you on the next available service at no extra cost. Please note: If you book another ticket to guarantee your seat, the unused ticket is non-refundable.
