St Patrick’s Day 2026 Service Updates ☘️

Route 251: Galway – Limerick – Cork  

Galway:
No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow additional travel time to account for heavy traffic conditions around the city due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.

Limerick: Sunday 15th March & Tuesday 17th March
Due to the closure of Henry Street, Limerick, for the Marching Band Festival (Sun 15th Mar) and St Patrick’s Day Parade (Tues 17th Mar) there will be a temporary pick up and drop off point for the following services, (OUTBOUND) Limerick Live 95 FM, Dock Road (V94 HF51)
(INBOUND) Opposite Limerick Live 95 FM, Dock Road (V94 HF51)

Outbound (Galway-Limerick-Cork):

•    08:30 ex-Galway (10:00 ex-Limerick) to Cork
•    10:30 ex-Galway (12:00 ex-Limerick) to Cork
•    11:30 ex-Galway (13:00 ex-Limerick) to Cork
•    13:30 ex-Galway (15:00 ex-Limerick) to Cork
•    14:30 ex-Galway (16:00 ex-Limerick) to Cork

Inbound (Cork Airport-Cork City-Limerick-Galway):

•    07:30 ex-Cork Airport (09:45 ex-Limerick) to Galway
•    10:30 ex-Cork Airport (12:45 ex-Limerick) to Galway
•    12:30 ex-Cork Airport (14:45 ex-Limerick) to Galway

No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow additional travel time to account for heavy traffic conditions around the city due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.  

Route 430: Ballina-Galway

Galway:

Our pickup and drop off at Galway Cathedral will be inaccessible between 11:25 – 14:25 (inclusive) due to the parade. The following affected services will not pick up at Galway Cathedral and will pick up at Forster Court and ATU Galway ONLY:
•    11:25 Galway – Ballina (11:30 pick up at Forster Court, Galway City)
•    14:25 Galway – Ballina (14:30 pick up at Forster Court, Galway City)
•    16:55 Galway - Ballina (17:00 pick up at Forster Court, Galway City)


The following affected services will not drop off at Galway Cathedral, therefore terminating at Forster Court, Galway City: 
•    10:00 Ballina – Galway (12:35 drop off at Forster Court, Galway City)
•    13:10 Ballina – Galway (15:45 drop off at Forster Court, Galway City)
All other services will depart and arrive at Galway Cathedral as normal. 

Please note: Our bus stop at Galway City, Forster Court is a 13-minute walk from our stop at Galway Cathedral. 

Foxford
The 2025 St Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday 15th March at 3.30pm/4.00pm.

•    Expect delays on the 15.55 service departing Ballina & 14.25 departing Galway

Tuam: 

The Tuam parade starts at 14:00.

The following affected services will pick up and drop off in Tuam, at Corrib Oil Tuam H54 A090.
•    15:05 Tuam to Galway (13:10 Ballina to Galway)
•    15:10 Tuam to Ballina (14:25 Galway to Ballina)
Please note: Our temporary pickup and drop off point for that time, Corrib Oil Tuam H54 A090 is a 10 minute walk from our usual stop.

Claremorris: Parade takes place on Tuesday 17th March. 

The parade starts at 16:00 and the following services will be affected: 


•    15:43 Claremorris to Ballina (14:25 Galway to Ballina) service will drop off and pick up in Claremorris at Boots, Kilcolman Road, F12 P589.
•    18:13 Claremorris to Ballina (16:55 Galway to Ballina) service will drop off and pick up in Claremorris at Boots, Kilcolman Road, F12 P589.
•    17:18 Claremorris to Galway (15:55 Ballina to Galway) service will drop off and pick up in Claremorris at Boots, Kilcolman Road, F12 P589.


Please note: Our temporary pick up and stop off point at Boots, Kilcolman Road, F12 P589 is a 4 minute walk from our usual stop at the Claremorris Leisure Centre.

Ballina
The parade starts at 15:00 on Tuesday 17th March and the following services will pick up at
 Mocha Beans on Station Road, F26 YA06


•    15:55 Ballina to Galway


Please note: Our temporary pick up at Mocha Beans on Station Road, F26 YA06 is an 18 minute walk from our usual stop at Humbert Street.

Route 660 & 761 - Galway to Dublin City


Galway (Coach Station):
No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow for additional travel time due to heavy traffic conditions around the city due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.

Dublin City to Galway:
Our pickup point at Crampton Quay will be inaccessible between 04:00 and 18:00 due to the St. Patrick’s Day parade. 

The following services will pick up at:

Dublin City Council Office, Wood Quay, Dublin 8 D08 RF3F

•    06:45, 07:15, 08:15, 08:45, 09:15, 09:45, 10:15 ,10:45 ,11:15 ,12:15, 12:45,
•    13:15, 13:45, 14:15, 14:45, 15:15, 15:45, 16:15, 16:45, 17:15 & 17:45 


All other services will pick up at Crampton Quay.

Our drop off point at Bachelors Walk will be inaccessible between 05:00 and 17:00 due to the parade.

Route 707: Cork to Dublin City & Airport


Cork
No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow for additional travel time to account for heavy traffic conditions around the city due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.

All services will operate to a regular Tuesday schedule.

Dublin to Cork
Our pickup point at Crampton Quay will be inaccessible between 04:00 and 18:00 due to the parade. 

The following services will pick up at:

Route 712: Limerick to Dublin Airport


Ennis:
No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow for additional travel time to account for heavy traffic conditions around the town due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.

 
Sunday 15th March & Tuesday 17th March
Limerick to Dublin Airport: 


Our pickup point at Arthurs Quay will be inaccessible between 07:00 and 16:00, due to the Marching Band Festival (Sunday 15/03) and St Patrick’s Day Parade (Tues 17/03).


The following services departing Limerick to Dublin Airport will pick up at 
Limerick Live 95 FM, Dock Road (V94 HF51) 


Due to Diversions services picking up at Hurler’s Bar, Castletroy may be delayed up to 15 Mins.
•    07:30 (06:40 ex-Ennis), 09:30, 11:30 (10:40 ex-Ennis), 13:30 and 15:30 (14:40 ex-Ennis)


All other services will depart Arthur’s Quay as normal. 


Dublin Airport to Limerick 
The following services departing Dublin Airport to Limerick will drop off at 
Opposite Limerick Live 95 FM, Dock Road (V94 HF51)
•    06:00, 08:00, 10:00 & 12:00


All other services will drop off at Arthur’s Quay as normal. 
Limerick Live 95 is a 12 min walk from our usual stop at Arthur’s Quay


Route 721: Castlebar to Dublin City and Airport

Castlebar:
No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow for additional travel time to account for heavy traffic conditions around the town due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.    

Claremorris:

Parade takes place on Tuesday 17th March 2026.

The parade starts at 16:00 and the following services will pick up and set down at Boots, Kilcolman Road, F12 P589.
•    17:25 Claremorris to Dublin (16:50 Castlebar to Dublin City and Airport) 
•    18:00 Claremorris to Castlebar (14:30 Dublin Airport to Castlebar)
Please note: Our temporary pick up and stop off point at Boots, Kilcolman Road, F12 P589 is a 4-minute walk from our current stop at the Leisure Centre.

Tuam:

Parade takes place on Tuesday 17th March 2026.

The parade starts at 14:00 and the following services will pick up and set down at Corrib Oil Tuam H54 A090. 
•    11:00 ex-Dublin Airport to Tuam (dropping off & picking up in Tuam @14:00) 
•    14.40 ex-Castlebar to Dublin Airport (picking up & dropping off in Tuam @15:40)

Dublin City Centre (Outbound; Castlebar to Dublin):


Our drop off point at Bachelors Walk will be inaccessible between 05:00 and 17:00 due to the parade.

Route 763: Galway – Ballinasloe – Athlone – Dublin City & Airport Multi-Stop

Galway:
No disruptions expected. However, we recommend that you allow additional travel time due to heavy traffic conditions around the city due to St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations. 

Oranmore:

The Parade starts at 14:00. No major disruptions are expected, however, passengers are asked to consider additional travel time due to various parades and diversions taking place en-route.

Craughwell: 

The Parade starts at 15:00 and runs through the village (from St. Michael’s Community Hall H91 X028 to the Bridge over Dunkellin River).

The following service will follow alongside the parade route through the village and will likely be delayed:

15:05 Craughwell to Galway (11:30 ex-Dublin Airport to Galway)

Loughrea: 

The parade starts at 13:00. Our pickup and drop off points at on Main Street outside Supermac's and Beatty’s Jewellers will be inaccessible between the hours of 11:30-15:00 due to the parade. 

The following services will be affected and will pick up at:

Circle K, Corrib Oil, The Hill Loughrea, H62 NP89

12:00 Galway – 12:35 Loughrea  – Dublin City & Airport Multistop (12:35 pick up/drop off at “The Hill”)
14:00 Galway – 14:35 Loughrea – Dublin City & Airport Multistop (14:35 pick up/drop off at “The Hill”)

08:30 Dublin Airport & City – 11:50 Loughrea – Galway Multistop (11:50 pick up/drop off at “The Hill”)

Ballinasloe:
Our pick up and drop off points at Dunlo Hill and Portiuncula Hospital will be inaccessible between the hours of 13:30-15:30 due to the parade. 

The following services will be affected and will pick up and drop off at Ballinasloe Creagh ONLY: 

14:25 Dunlo Hill, Ballinasloe/14:28 Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe to Galway (11:30 ex-Dublin Airport to Galway)

The Moate Parade starts at 13:30.

We will be bypassing Moate for its listed affected services below.

The parade through Main Street commences at 15:00 and concludes at 16:00.

The following services will bypass Kinnegad:

Clonard:
Sunday 15th March:

The parade starts at 15:00 and disruptions are expected between approx. 14:30-16:30.

Route 923: Galway – Clifden

Galway: 
We recommend that you allow additional travel time due to heavy traffic conditions around the city due to St. Patrick’s day parades and celebrations. 

The following services will be affected by the parade in Galway City: 

12:00 Galway to Clifden service will not pick up at Newcastle Post Office and will drop off in Clifden at the Station House Hotel on the Galway Road.

14:00 Galway to Clifden service will not pick up at Newcastle Post Office in Galway and will drop off at the Station House Hotel in Clifden on the Galway Road.

Clifden: 
The following services from Clifden to Galway will pick up across from the Station House Hotel on the Galway Road.

•    12:00 and 13:00 

Please see map below of our temporary pick up and stop off point at Clifden Station House, which is a 4 minute walk from our current stop at Clifden Library, Market Street.

All other services will pick up and drop off at Clifden Library, Market Street as normal.


Moycullen

The parade starts at 14:00 and the following services will not pick up or drop off in Moycullen or Clydagh Bridge, Ogúil.

Oughterard

The parade starts at 13:00 and concludes at approx. 15:00. There will be local diversions in place from 12:45 to approx. 15:00. Please expect delays as the parade moves through the village.
