From Monday 17 May 2010 a revised timetable will be in operation on our direct Galway > Dublin > Dublin Airport service. Journeys will operate 15 minutes earlier throughout.

Irish Citylink and Callinan Coaches of Galway join forces going forward
As part of the proposals under discussion, Irish Citylink’s coach services will be outsourced to Callinan Coaches. Irish Citylink currently operates a wide network of passenger coach services connecting Ireland’s major Cities and International Airports. Irish Citylink is confident that Callinan Coaches, awarded Coach Operator of the Year (2010), will operate its scheduled network of services to the highest standard. Citylink and Callinan have agreed to enter a five-year agreement to cement their partnership. Cathy Cullen, MD of Irish Citylink, said: ‘’Callinan Coaches and Irish Citylink share a strong commitment to providing excellent customer care, delivering a first class service consistently using modern, luxury coaches all fitted with Wi-Fi to deliver a comfortable and enjoyable journey’’. ‘’This decision by Irish Citylink to outsource its operations to Callinan Coaches is an integral part of our strategy to strengthen and consolidate our operations in Ireland. New improved timetable between Galway and Dublin
Citylink is pleased to announce that it is introducing a new improved timetable on the Galway > Dublin > Dublin Airport route with effect from Monday 17 May 2010.
The new timetable will offer a better spread of departures to enhance the high frequency service already operated by Citylink on the route.

Irish Citylink reduces frequency of Coach services between Galway City and Shannon Airport.
Effective from Monday, 22 Feb 10, Irish Citylink will reduce their departures to 6 services daily. Passenger numbers through Shannon Airport have dropped significantly (12%) in the last 12 months and with further declines expected it is no longer viable for Citylink to continue operating additional frequency.

Effective from 01 Feb 10, our call centre, based in Cork will be closed. This move follows the introduction of our newly designed website in Oct 09 which provides a more efficient and effective reservation system benefiting passenger bookings. As a result, there has been a sharp decline in demand for our call centre services in Cork and it is no longer cost effective to operate this facility. Our new improved, user friendly website allows customers to book on-line 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, providing updates on all services on a regular basis and will continue to be developed and improved to ensure the highest level of Customer service is maintained. Our Customers can still make enquiries through Citylink’s website.

Citylink Confirms the Department of Transport Has Not Withdrawn Galway to Dublin License
Citylink, one of Ireland’s premier passenger transport companies, will continue to run its direct and multi-stop services, between Galway and Dublin, despite correspondence from the Department of Transport informing the company that it will not renew its current licences until it stops running its direct service between the two cities.

Irish Citylink re-opens Cork – Limerick – Galway Route
Following many appeals from passengers, Citylink Ireland are planning to re-commence scheduled Coach services between Galway City and Cork City from Wednesday 4th February 09, three months after they suspended operations on this route.
