Connacht - Edinburgh

,   Thursday, 29 October 2015

As usual Galway promises to be buzzing before, during and after this game with the atmosphere which a game brings to the city. The Clan stand along with the rest of the ground will offer a rapturous reception for the men in green and is the perfect way to start your Halloween evening. An evening of fun and excitement is guaranteed with fans coming from far and wide to support the side as they seek to carry on their momentum following a win away in Swansea against Ospreys who were considered to be Connacht’s “bogey team”.

This Saturday Connacht host Edinburgh, a team who were in top form with a 100% record in the competition before suffering a surprise defeat last week away to previously win less side Zebre last week. However prior to this Edinburgh had chalked up wins over Ulster and Leinster and will be looking to make it 3 for 3 against the home provinces.

This Saturday could see the return of Irish internationals Robbie Henshaw and Nathan White as both players returned to Galway this week and took part in full training. Both will be looking for the win and are sure to get a great reception upon their homecoming to the SportsGround.

In fantastic news Tiernan O’Halloran was named the teams player of the month following a series of great performances throughout the month which culminated in him captaining the side to an impressive win in Wales against Ospreys. Truly a great achievement for the 24 year old Clifden man.

Connacht will no doubt be looking for the win in front of their home supporters this Halloween evening as they are in fine form riding a wave of momentum following an away win and have seen the return of two international players to the squad. They will be looking to overcome an Edinburgh side who will be looking to bounce back from a defeat in the previous round of games.

Also this weekend Eddie the Eagle will be looking for the best Halloween costume! The winner will be announced at half time and will receive a Connacht rugby jersey of their choice along with a trick or treat goodie pack.

This promises to be a great evening of Rugby at the SportGround and we here at Citylink wish Connacht all the best for this game!!!!
